The monumental sculpture of the "Motherland" ("Rodina Mat") is 62 meters tall and built by Yevgeny Vuchetich.
The monumental sculpture of the "Motherland" ("Rodina Mat") is 62 meters tall and built by Yevgeny Vuchetich. In the right hand of the statue is a 16 m long sword, weighing 9 tons. In the left hand there is a 13 m by 8 m shield with the Coat of arms of the Soviet Union.
