Castle sits on a small island at the end of a causeway connected to the mainland and to the city of
Sidon .
A popular place of interest in
Sidon with visitors, unfortunately all that can be seen today is a shadow of the former fortress. The castle was amongst those destroyed, in an attempt to prevent the crusaders re-establishing a coastal stronghold again. All that remains are two towers connected by a wall; however a great view is enjoyed if you climb to the top of the towers.
