Maroochydore is located at the centre of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. This city is situated between the Ocean and  Maroocy  River. The name derives from the local black swans known as red bill.

Maroochydore is one of the main business centres on the Sunshine Coast, which attracts a lot of tourists.  There are numerous boutiques, restaurants and shopping centres.

The coastline offers locals and tourists access to take leisurely strolls, cycling and rollerblading on the oceanway whilst taking in the glorious view of the ocean. Maroochydore contains a very popular surf beach.
