Quebec Emblem, Logo, Seal, Canada. The coat of arms of Quebec was originally received by Queen Victoria in 1868 but was redesigned in 1939. The shield has three horizontal divisions, the top adorns three fleurs-de-lis with a blue setting to illustrate a loyalty to France. The middle division features the British royal golden lion and the bottom field shows a green maple leaf which represents Canada. The motto "Je me souviens" translates "I remember."
