Prague, Jan Zizka monument, Czechia. This monumental masterpiece created by Bohumil Kafka is located on Vitkov Hill. Jan Zizka, the man of the sword was a gallant and heroic leader in Praque strategically defending the Bohemian kingdom using countrymen and local means of fighting. A significant figure in the Czech heritage and culture. The statue itself not only represents his own power and presence in Czech life but the horse is the biggest horse statue in the world representing Jan Zizkas stance when he lead the nation to defend the capital on Vitkov Hill when Sigismund tried to invade Prague. A heroic leader a civilian and a warrior his strong loyalty has earned him a public figure for life and is represented in art, culture and literature for his duties.
