Prague, The monument of the reformer Jan Hus, Czechia. Jan Hus was a religious philosopher largely influenced by the English theologian John Wycliffe. His controversial ideas of medieval and spiritual thought on religion and the rejection of the Roman Catholic Church caused upheaval in Bohemia, although earned him great followers. Jan Hus believed that God was everywhere and dismissed the hierarchy of the church claiming that Jesus and his disciples did not have great wealth or possessions in which the Roman Catholic Church indoctrinated in the written text. His influence has remained today in the Czech Republic, with monumental statues and protestant churches, also in addition the Moravian Church in Germany. Jan Hus was consequently executed for his "radical teachings" by the Roman Catholic Church in 1415.
