Ontario Emblem, Logo, Seal, Canada. The coat of arms of Ontario was granted by Queen Victoria in 1868 and King Edward granted arms by Royal Warrant in 1909. The crest design is a black bear the national animal, the shield features St Georges cross to show the relation with England and the three golden maple leaves are taken from Ontarios flag. The motto is in latin and translates to "Loyal she began, loyal she remains."
