Nova Scotia Emblem, Logo, Seal, Canada. The coat of arms of Novia Scotia was first established in 1625 by King Charles I. The crest denotes an image of two shaking hands one is adorning an armoured glove, they both hold a thistle and laurel, this image is said to represent peace and Scotland. The shield represents the Scottish flag and the royal arms of Scotland. The supporters; unicorn was taken from the Scottish royal arms and the indigenous tribal man represents its cultural heritage.
