This mosque in Antalya has a typical Turkish style minaret, being tall and slim.  Designs of minarets do differ and are dependent on the specific country or region. The designs however, are usually tall structures, with an onion shaped top. The minaret acts as a visible sign for prayers and combines with the audible callings, emitted from close to the tops of minarets.  Although nowadays, amplified callings are used and may not necessarily be from the minaret’s summit itself.
