Kiev District (oblast or province) situated on the north of Ukraine. Occupies territory of 28131 sq.km. and is populated by 1,8 million people (2006). Consists of 25 regions. In this district situates 55 towns and 1129 villages. In Kiev oblast there are 22 towns with a population of more than 13000 residents. The administration centre of the district is Kiev City (de facto). Other major cities are Belaya Tserkov, Borispol, Bycha, Irpen, Pereyaslav-Hmelnitskiy, Slavytich, Fastov.

Kiev oblast is one of the most developed districts in Ukraine with important annual growth. Very active is the real estate sector. Respectable investments are taking place with property for sale in Kiev and very popular with profitable activity are the apartments in Kiev for rent.
