Louvre, Paris, France. The most famous art museum in the world. A beautiful array of architectural splendour before you even enter the musuem you are met with the newly developed contemporary entrance Pyramid. The museum is housed in the Louvre Palace built in the 12th Century. Established in 1793 as a museum the Louvre contains thousands of historical objects, paintings and artefacts from all over the world. Some of the most famous works include the Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci and the statue of the Aphrodite of Milos (Venus de Milo).
