Larnaca Coast, the Castle, the Port, Larnaca, Cyprus - N2

This imposing historical site is said to date back as far as the Byzantines in the 12th century although the actual first written reference dates from the 14th century. During its long history it has had many occupants including in latter years, the British who used the castle as a prison until 1948.
