Hong Kong seal, logo, emblem, China. The emblem was first adopted in 1997 when Hong Kong became the Peoples Republic of China. The design has the same images as the national flag of Hong Kong. A circle with the traditional colours red and white. The chinese reflects the English "Hong Kong." The flower image at the centre is a Bauhinia blakeana which is a native flower of Hong Kong.
