Turkish Gulet (Yacht)

Originally built for use by fishermen and sponge divers to carry their catches back to the shores, these handcrafted wooden vessels today have diesel power, in addition to the more traditional wind power. Each gulet can take as long as two years to complete and some are now extremely luxurious, for use in the tourism marketplace.  The original gulets have evolved into something quite special, with broad beams and wide deck areas, making a sea faring holiday as comfortable as a top class hotel! The Blue Cruise
