Thousands of tourists visit Bodrum every year in search of the perfect sun tan, however Bodrum has so much more to offer.  A rich sense of history with the castle, museum of underwater discoveries and mausoleum to name but a few, are waiting to be re-discovered.  If you are suffering from history overload, why not spend a few hours wandering around one of the many markets, located in and around Bodrum.  The stall holders are always ready to haggle! With regard to cuisine, many restaurants can be found to suite all tastes and pockets from Thai, Italian, Mexican and Chinese to other European and of course the traditional Turkish fare. After dinner, one might enjoy a moonlit stroll and a coffee in one of Bodrum’s cafes overlooking the illuminated castle, for those with a little more energy why not indulge in the nightlife, reputed as being second only to Istanbul, even by the Turks.
